Jessica Gall
From here on in, anything seems possible: With her new album ‘Picture Perfect’, singer Jessica Gall, who was born and bred in Berlin, has found her own unique niche invoking both memories of jazz and the newly restored Olympus of the singer/songwriter world. Far from interfering with the warm timbre that is her most distinctive vocal trait, the new expansiveness in her voice will place listeners once again under her spell. Painting pictures of life in a state of flux, her songs breathe tranquillity and tempo, have depth and distinctive melodies. Jessica’s biography attests to her enormous creativity and musical diversity. Early on in her journey towards her unique style, while studying jazz at the Hanns Eisler School of Music, she allowed herself the freedom to do whatever she wanted. To finance her studies, she sang backing vocals for Phil Collins and Sarah Connor, to name just a few. With four previous albums to her name, successful concerts all over Europe and songs featured in various TV and cinema productions, Jessica Gall is now well-established in the jazzy singer/songwriter scene. Together with her husband Robert Matt (piano) and her trusted band members, she is well on her way to becoming one of the few German jazz-singer/songwriters of international acclaim.
“Jessica Gall, astounds with her creativity… Out of a
number of female vocalists that have appeared on the scene these past years,
her voice has stood out with it’s own distinctive sound.”
